In 1958 Lyle Ladewig started the Stockton Trout Farm because of his love for fishing. Today, over 65 years later his son, Larry Ladewig, and granddaughter, Hailey Nahrgang, keep the farm thriving. Each year we travel within a 400-mile radius of the farm to stock different types of bodies of water with our trout. On the farm we raise Rainbow Trout from egg up to all sizes. The trout are raised in man-made, spring fed, natural bottom ponds. Thanks to the springs that keep our pond water constantly moving, we are able to raise our fish year round. Over the years our trout have been stocked in private ponds to be fished, fed to the polar bears at the state zoos, added to many restaurant menus, sold at local Farmer's Markets, and enjoyed by many. Everyone at the farm takes great pride in the trout we raise, and it is especially rewarding when we see that our trout are enjoyed by others.
